French Fries

Time 30 min
Potato 1 large size
Water 3 cups
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying

Peel off the potato. Cut into the pieces, around 1/2 inch width and 3 inch in length ( Length depends on potato you use). Boil 3 cup of water. Add cut potato pieces into the boiled water, add salt stir well for 2-3 min. Switch off the flame. Run potato into the cold water, so that it will get cool. Then remove it from the water, dry with cotton. Deep fry in kadai till yellowish/golden brown. Sprinkle salt and enjoy french fries. 

According to this method french fries doesn't become as golden as we buy ready made from outside. It will be good if you use thick bottom kadai for frying so that frying takes place evenly.
