Dum Aloo Gravy

Time 30 min
Baby potatoes 10-12
Shahjeera 1/2 tsp
Curd 1/2 cup
Garam masala 1/4 tsp
Oil 2-3 tbsp
Make paste for gravy
Chopped onions 3 medium size
Chopped tomatoes 3 medium size
Ginger 1 inch
Garlic 3-4
Red chilies 4
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Cashewnuts 1/2 cup
Salt to taste

Coriander for garnishing

Boil potatoes till it is cooked 3/4. Peel off and keep aside. Make holes in potatoes using fork. Shallow fry or deep fry potatoes. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in pan add shahjeera, after it crackles, then add paste, garam masala fry for about 10-15 min till oil separates out. Then add curd, mix well, cook for 3-4 min. Then add potatoes, salt and cook for 10 min by covering lid. If necessary add 1-2 tbsp water. Switch off the flame. Serve hot.
